Marissa Tobar - Office Manager/Event Coordinator
Meet Marissa! She has her BA in Political Science and has over 9+ years of experience in working in education, with her background being in Human Resources and Purchasing.
She, like her brother Michael, has a love for books and community, so she decided to leave her life of education and team up alongside Michael and manage Books & More.
She has two boys, four dogs, and one bird! I guess you could say she also has a love for pets!
Her favorite children's book is currently 'Federico and the Wolf' written by Rebecca J. Gomez, and she is currently reading 'The Women' by Kristin Hannah.
In her spare time when she is not at the bookstore, you can catch her spending time with her two sons, (Trenton and Micah), her husband Rafael, and her family.
She believes in Jesus, family, coffee, and a great book!
Rafael Tobar - Assistant Office Manager
Meet Rafael! He is Marissa's husband. He has an associate's degree in accounting, with 10+ years background in Finance and Insurance.
He has a love for Jesus, family, and books as well. Being that Rafael and Marissa have a 17-year-old and almost 3-month-old, he is also learning to enjoy children's books and books for young adults. However, his favorite genres are History, Biography, and Religion.
He is currently reading two of his favorite books, 'The Gulag Archipelago Volume 1: An Experiment in Literary Investigation' by Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn and 'Man's Search for Meaning' by Viktor E. Frankl.
Rafael will be leading a few select classes and Bible Studies alongside his brother-in-law Michael.
He currently has a 9-5, but you will see him quite often as well at the bookstore, where he spends most of his spare time.
